We recently purchased a Shifman mattress and we were so impressed with its quality and comfort that I was compelled to let you know that you make a product unmatched by other makers. We were lucky enough to test one of your mattresses and the initial feeling of comfort was enough to take it home. Dear Mr. Hammer:

My wife and I would like to thank you very much for continuing to manufacture such very high quality mattresses. In this day and age of everyone trying to pass off inferior quality merchandise for a high price, it is wonderful to see a company that sticks to its traditional values and doesn’t cave to all of the modern manufacturing processes and ethics.

After months of mattress research, we were hoping to find a traditional style, flippable mattress. After the arrival of our mattress, our expectations were confirmed. Everyone at Shifman did a wonderful job on this mattress!

I have been a Shifman customer for many years now and I absolutely LOVE my mattress. When my old mattress needed to be replaced, I tried the ‘common’ companies, only to find them sinking and falling apart after six months. I had to deal with the attitude of these companies and fight for a replacement. The replacement turned out even worse (and it was more money). My friend knew what was happening and gave me the newspaper cutout from one of our local stores. My husband and I went there the next day. We bought the most luxurious mattress you make and impatiently waited for delivery.

It has been over six years now and that mattress is in the same condition it was when it was delivered. It is comfortable, it breathes, it feels good in the summer and winter and it can be flipped in four directions (unlike the junk they make now).

Today, my mother will be shopping for her first Shifman and I am proud to have recommended it to her. It takes courage and integrity to own, run and work in a company like yours. It takes good old fashioned values to make a product that is quality from start to finish. It also takes a different kind of person to not change a thing for the almighty dollar. You are one of a kind and it is comforting to see that. Know that what you do is truly letting folks sleep well at night. Thanks for the sweet dreams.

OH MY GOD! I do love this new bed. What a piece of junk my “Serta Perfect Sleeper” was. I’ve noticed the internet is all lit up over how defective that bed is. But, Oh, I am so grateful because it has driven me to meet my God of beds…Shifman. I got it Friday and ended up with the flu on Saturday. I was almost glad because I got to stay in that wonderful bed for a couple of days. I’m sleeping better and better each night. No more aches and pains in my back. I actually feel 20 years younger.

I’m plotting how to talk my husband into buying new mattresses for all the beds in the house (Fat chance. At least I have mine).

Gentlemen,

About 15 years ago, I started looking for a company to make a mattress for our odd size antique bed. Most companies were too expensive, others had low quality products. Then I finally found you and went to Patton’s Furniture in Winchester, VA and ordered the mattress.

Meanwhile, my daughter bought a Shifman from Bloomingdale’s in D.C. and my son bought one from Bloomingdale’s in NYC. Our mattress came this week and it is wonderful! We were a Sterns & Foster family before, but now we all have Shifmans.

Thank you for your good work to make such a wonderful mattress!

As per my phone call to you yesterday, I just met the sweetest couple, married 53 years. They are the proud owners (for all 53 years) of a queen sized Shifman mattress that they absolutely love and are still extremely comfortable sleeping on. Hearing them speak about their mattress would be the best advertisement that Shifman could ever get.

Would have been a great “superbowl ad” just looking at the pride in their eyes as they spoke about their 53 year old mattress.

Dear Mr. Hammer:

Thirty-seven years ago, my husband and I bought our first Shifman mattress- a Neptune-Extra Firm, Sanotuft, queen-size, to be exact.

It was purchased through Goldfinger’s of Newark. Goldfinger’s is long since gone…but our Shifman Brothers mattress is still in use.

You have achieved “the degree of success I believe is very important” because you have “the best product- meaning it lasts longer and is more comfortable.”

Needless to say, our bodies are content but our minds tell us we should be looking for a new mattress. My fear is that we might not like the new mattress…and the old mattress will be history.

What do you recommend?

Just thought you would like to know. When I was first married we purchased a Shifman Bros queen mattress. The mattress is still in great shape, no lumps or sags and I was married June 20, 1964. I’m always amazed when others speak about having to have replaced their mattresses numerous times and I’m still on the same one. Thought you would like to know that the product I purchased in June 1964 had a quality and durability that even surpassed my expectations. I thought for years that the company had probably closed and I was pleased to learn that it was still in business. I often tell people about my durable and comfortable mattress when they are looking for one themselves. Thanks again.
