Shifman mattresses and boxsprings are warranted against defective workmanship and materials when purchased from an authorized dealer.   Length of warranty varies by product.

Body impressions in a new mattress are normal due to the upholstery settling and are not manufacturing defects.  The mattress must be turned once a month for the first six months and twice a year thereafter. Turn mattress upside down, as well as from end to end. Do not put a board between your mattress and boxspring as this will cause your mattress to wear out more quickly.

Do not let children jump on bed since this breaks down inner construction materials. All mattresses must be supported by a matching boxspring for the warranty to apply.  In queen size, a metal frame must have a rigid center support with a leg; a wood bed needs a minimum of five hardwood cross slats or metal/iron cross rails with a center leg. Mattress handles are provided for positioning the mattress only.  Never attempt to lift a mattress by these handles. We recommend a quilted protector pad on your mattress at all times to avoid body stains. Do not remove the white cloth law label at the end of mattress or boxspring.  This serves as a means of identification to establish warranty rights.  Removal of this label will void the warranty. King mattresses can only be bent or folded from head to foot.  Bending a king mattress in any other way or bending any other size mattress will damage the innerspring unit beyond repair.  The warranty will not cover damage caused in this manner.
